I binge-purchased all 13 seasons of South Park today since they were on sale for $18.99. I spent the entire winter being a miser, so naturally I've decided to reward my discipline with a lack thereof to start my summer.
I had only ever seen six or seven episodes, and each made my sides hurt from laughter. As such, I'm diving right in. However, in watching season 1 (and I think you can expect this with any show), the first few episodes have lacked in quality. It seems almost as if they're establishing shock value for the sake of its then-novelty without much focus on creative story-telling or ingenious plays on morality.
Certainly, I'll go back to watch all of the episodes, but I'd rather start at a point where the show is in full gear or at least running well with characters established and entrenched. (I.E., "The Simpsons" would be season 3). Where is a good starting point?
