Um, maybe it's just me but I'm pretty sure the writers already did a "Aids can be funny" episode before. In fact six years ago with "Jared Has Aides". Okay so this one has the real disease, but what was the point of it? And why bother mentioning Cartman struggling with his morality? He didn't do that at all. As per usual he tried to make everyone feel bad at him, get back at Kyle, and save his own ass when his plan went awry. That has nothing to do with morals. The only really noteable thing in this episode is the depths Cartman went to get back at Kyle. Yeah he's talked about killing the jews or taking Kyle's gold and has even wished for him to have Aids before, but actually giving him it? I guess that does justify Kyle's right to try and beat and destroy Cartman's Xbox (Hmmm, guess "Go God Go" mucked up Cartman's chances of getting a Wii since I'm sure that'd be even more threathening to Cartman then a 360 on some level) and propel the two on some actual cross country adventure. (Which is been there done before terroritry as well. "Cartoon Wars" which aired right before even showed when that happened). And the idea of beating Aids with money is sort of funny but uh it dosen't feel like there was any heavy satire or point to this one. Yeah there dosen't always have to be a real lesson learned but this one we kind of went along for the ride without having much to enjoy. Well I guess there were some good jokes: Butters and Kyle's reactions to Cartman having Aids, the HIV positive running gag, Cartman mentioning breaking into Kyle's before, the schools reaction to Cartman giving Kyle's aids, people confusing Cartman and Kyle having aids (I mean after how Cartman sought to suck Kyle's balls in "Imaginationland" I half expected him to have sex with Kyle to give him aids, though sadly for all Kyle/Cartman shippers it was just shared blood), Kyle and Cartman bickering at the end and the guy running up to the Nigerians telling them the cure. I also guess why they didn't hype this one up to much: Because really there wasn't much to hype thinking about it. I mean the episode felt sort of standard SP level. Like the kind of thing we'd get later on in the season. But as the premiere it defintley didn't keep me as eager about the season like previous even numbered starters 6, 8, and 10 have.
