As a fan of Lovecraft, I really appreciated how they incorporated the Necromomicon couplet, "That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange aeons even death may die" into the story.
They already did in Cartman Joins NAMBLA. Kenny says nobody remembers him dying. Yet in Cartmanland, Cartman says Kenny dies all the time. And in Gnomes Stan and Kyle don't seem to care that Kenny died.
