And also, whats up with the frickin' novel up there in the poll. I know that a 5 is good and a 1 is bad, I don't need the failed attempt at humor beside it.
 
How many characters did you see in Imagination Land?

I saw Optimus Prime, Orko, Cheetara, Snarf, a Ninja Turtle, the Flash, Astro Boy, Voltron, & some Blue Meanies.

Thank God I DV-R'd this, so I can go back and see how many licensed characters they were able to cram in there.

EDIT: I also spotted some Smurfs, a few Care Bears, Raggedy Anne and Andy and Jack Skellington.
 
You know, I've been meaning to say something about that for a very long time. This really isnt clever, and it's not really funny. I think a poll needs to be a tad more simplistic.
 
I didn't really enjoy this episode, but I do approve of where this episode is going to for next week's episode. After realizing the worst of imagination is going to pass the barrier next week, I wonder if the worst of imagination is actually Seth Green's wonderful stop action animation creation called Robot Chicken.

I did enjoy Cartman's character in this episode along with director's giving their opinions on what the government should. Butters needs to stand up for himself, but that's his character flaw
 
I never thought I'd see the day when Ronald McDonald would pick up his own severed arm Saving Private Ryan style.

And did anyone notice Mario in the crowd?

Oh crap, the return of crazy Mel Gibson!
 
I don't think it's been mentioned here, but it has been in other places. The guy who brought the kids to Imaginationland appears to be based on Dreamfinder, the character who used to headline the Journey into Imagination ride at EPCOT. Dreamfinder wore a similar outfit and drove a similar airship. At first, though, I didn't think he was Dreamfinder, because Dreamfinder seemed like so obscure a reference ( Really, who remembers Dreamfinder? ) that I didn't think Matt and Trey would feature him so prominently. But I guess I was wrong. The kids ARE rescued by the dragon from "Dragonheart". Talk about obscure.

EDIT: Oops, sorry I didn't see your post before, Hordesman.

BTW: We did see Astro Boy, the Flash, and Mighty Mouse in the ep. It stands to reason that all the great superheroes are there as well. So why didn't they fight back? How could a pathetic bunch of terrorists beat all these superheroes?
 
Man, they were on such a roll...and then they abandoned the kids and started the Pentagon storyline.

And wow, there's Mel Gibson again...
 
Epic episode, my favorite sense "Cartoon Wars"


I especially like Imagination Land, in Family Guy's Imagination Land you burp where you fart and fart where you burp, Lame.

I liked all the send ups to 80s/90s cartoons as the "goofy ideas people think of" inhabiting Imagination Land


I'm betting that the Terrorists are pissed off that Muhammed isn't there.
 
So lets see:

Week 1: Cartman vs Kyle
Week 2: Randy Marsh
Week 3: "Poor Butters" and Cartman vs Kyle.

Next week will either be about Mrs. Garrison or will have almost no regular characters in it. Mark my words.
 
Oh, CRIPES, I wish I hadn't remembered that when seeing this episode, but I did. Why? Because there was a technical problem and we watched that ******* silhouette of that airship pass by for FORTY-FIVE minutes. Worst part of my Disney World vacation when I was nine.
 
I was thinking that too since it was similar to when Butters met the Ghost of Human Kindness.



Joseph Smith was definitely in there, but most of the religious figures were on the good side. Even some mythological ones.



Butters was only calling out for Stan and Kyle in the video.



The most obscure thing they've referenced, I think, was the Fighting the Frizzies thing.
