South Park - "Human Cent-iPad" - Talkback [4/27]

How much of South Park have you even watched? This isn't the only time Cartman got what he deserved for his actions. For instance, there was the "Christian Rock Hard" episode where his plan fails, and Token gives him a beatdown for calling him a bad name.
 
The problem here is that this to me, it feels less of a spoof of those terms and agreements and more of a tool to use when it comes to Trey and Matt's recent attitude towards Kyle (one that involves him being written as a "butt monkey" in some episodes).
 
Not to mention the time Kyle punches him in the Canadian Christmas episode ... This is simply the first time God fought back, which makes it the funniest (physically that is, God did take away his theme park)

I remember Kyle punching him. Even after that though, he still has the nerve to mess with Kyle in later episodes.

Come to think of it, I'm even just remembering the time Wendy beat the snot out of him in "Breast Cancer Show Ever".



I also remember when Butters humiliated him with that video of him dressed up as Britney Spears dancing alongside a Justin Timberlake cutout in "AWESOME-O".



I haven't been keeping score, but if you're right, I wonder if it even matters since Cartman is just too stupid to know when to quit. Kyle and Stan even sort of touched upon that in "The Death of Eric Cartman". I'm just glad that people at least try to put him in his place, and succeed, despite his resilience.

I'll have to admit though, that in "Scott Tenorman Must Die", I actually rooted for Cartman after Scott played all those pranks on him. I was glad that he trumped Scott in the end, but it sucked that his parents had to die.
 
Although not the greatest episode, I did love the fact that they played with the consequences of not reading those agreements.

Best part of it for me was the Geniuses and their whole ritual thing.



I feel that there are plenty of times when they can play it well, though. I particularly liked "Jared Has Aides", with the lampshading where he's literally beating a dead horse.
 
You know, how is what Kyle goes through any worse then all of the main kids? Really the latest Kenny focus episode had him go through this whole arc about trying to figure out how he kept coming back to life, but only to be told the origin of some other super hero and still have to live with the burden of being immortal with no one realizing how constantly he dies ("Coon Vs The Coon And Friends"). Stan if he's not being embarassed by the ridicolous antics of his father ("Crepe Frache") is either the very annoyed straight man or having a problem that puts him in ridicolous situation ("Insheeption"). And Butters... if there was a specific butt monkey for the show, it would of been Butters for the longest time after he became popular, and it still happens from time to time (like "The Tale Of Scrotie McBoogerballs"). And let's not forget that Cartman does still get punished by either the hand of god or by others for his actions sometimes. So really how is Kyle really a butt monkey. Yeah sometimes he's ridiculed, embarassed or humilated, but before this episode was it any worse then any of the other kids? Hell thinking about it much crap as he went through here, Butters were literally forced to act like a dog, had a star stuck in his eye, pissed and crapped in "Fun Time With Weapons" so I think Kyle hasn't gone through the worst treatment in this show.



Well remember that worked too because of balancing it out with the boys plot. It also depends on what the joke is, how they present it and what the final resolution is. Really sometimes one jokes work but other times they don't and like I said this is far from the worst example. The last season premiere "Sexual Healing" did the whole one joke way way way way wayyyyyyyyyyy worse then this episode did.
 
I think this was the only episode where I got physically nauseated halfway through.

Although I'm surprised it took Trey and Matt this long to do a jab involving the Human Centipede.
 
I really, really enjoy this episode from the start through the end. Here's my reliable review: The whole Humancentipad position was really funny, especially with that Japanese man. Cartman pretense about his mom being a child molester because she wouldn't buy him a real ipod was really hilarious yet wrong of him to make people believe she have sex with him. My favorite scenes are:
The Japanese man farting on Kyle's mouth in respective scenes
Cartman bags his mom to have sex with him, then Jesus (unfortunately got shocked by lighten)
The Geniuses laser scenes (I thought it was weird and funny)
When Kyle tells the Japanese man to eat vanilla paste instead of Cuttlefish and asparagus
Mrs. Cartman standing up to her son.
Cartman being shocked by lighten at the end.
Overall, this was a fantastic episode. I'll give it 9/10.
