South Park - "Eek, A Penis!" - Talkback (Spoilers) [4/9]

Movie was "Stand and Deliver"...staring Edward James Olmos and Lou Diamond Phillips. (it was basically the same movie as Dangerous Minds but with a balding mexican guy instead of michelle pfeiffer)

Episode was good, hilarious all the way through and not obnoxiously preachy...I had a feeling this was coming with the pregnant man. All of the penis talk was hilarious

I'll give it an ......8

Yeah it was quite funny, though it didn't make me laugh as hard as say, when I first saw the Thompson couple's (Ben Affleck's parents) faces, or when that photoshopped picture that makes Jimmy look gay was shown.

This was an awesome episode though. I'm also glad that Mr. Garrison is back. I never really cared for those times when he was a woman.

I liked the Garrison story line (and the American Tail parody was priceless). However, the Cartman story line was over done, pointless, repetitive and just not funny.

They seem to be using Kenny in every other episode.
Butters' line in the sandbox was funny.

Overall, it was ok. Had they left the Cartman parts out, it could have been a great episode. It was better than I expected. The commercial actually had me dreading watching the episode. I'm getting tired of the Kyle/Cartman friction, and the commercial made it seem like that was going to be a big part of the episode.

I'm not sure what I really think of this one, it is good to see Garrison once again his old self (IMHO, having him transfered ruined his character), but is that a good thing at this point...?

If you have not seen Stand and Deliver or An American Tail, then I would say you're unqualified to rate this episode, because experience with those movies makes this episode one of South Park's best. But, I would guess that the rest is still funny on its own, too, so 10/10...

I haven't seen Stand and Deliver, but I did like Cartman side plot better that Mr/s. Garrison trying to be a man again. Cartman teaching inner-city kids that Cheating is the American White-Man way... classic. I got a chuckle out of that even though I am sort of writing a paper for my college on a similair subject at hand.

While I did watch American Tail, even though it has been like 10 years since I saw it, I really didn't see any connection other than the song. As for Garrison trying to get back his member, during those parts my reaction was "WTF am I watching?" It was very disturbing and I think I might have to go with SirLemming saying that is one episode that we might not see in syndication. I think they're doing it push the BS&P for syndication. To me this is one of the rare episodes of South Park where I like the sub-plot way more than the main plot, aka the one the title of the episode takes from.

All in all I thought it was a fun episode.

I was expecting a lot more from those commercials. I was expecting Cartman to do something extreme akin to Passion of the Jew, and I was dang excited. How ever I was let down with Garrison reusing the same joke over and over (though the mouse and penis singing did get me) and a generic parody that also reused jokes to an extent.
