Episode 172

I didn't see a talkback yet, so here is one.

Synopsis: Cartman teaches in a inner-city school after helping his class score higher test grades.

'How do I deal with these jokes that are beaten to death?' - me in Mexican teacher accent

After the worst episode of South Park to date (yeah Ludachris, I said it), Eek a Penis actually erases most of the negativity I had about the series and actually gives me some renewed hope for the rest of the season. I had a few good laughs with this one - and I enjoyed the plot involving Mr(s). Garrison and his quest to pursue artificial genetic growth to grow his member back. The ending killed me, the pose Mr. Garrison makes when he's telling a guy to get an H test just made me roll.

Cartman's plot, on the other hand, was almost rewarding but quickly pandered out to the same joke rolled in a ball with specks of parody and allusion squished in. The only parts I really thought were funny was the abortion talk and Cartman's first use of a method performed in sports to show the students how to cheat (the others were just annoying).

This is pretty much the drawback to the episode - while Garrison's plot was great, Cartman once again sloshed to center stage and tried to take control of the episode. I just wish that they'd stop using him and start picking Stan up again in a few plots without having to rely on Kyle much either (I did enjoy Kenny's use in the episode though, something that shouldn't have surprised me but did sadly).

Funny and wrong, as always, but I feel like there was a connection between all the funny and all the wrong for the episode that I didn't really get, like I do with most South Park episodes. The American Tale reference, for example, didn't really strike a relevant/recognizable cord with me.

I have to watch it again to see Mr. Dirp, though. That'd be so awesome to see him there. They need a chef after all! Oh that zany Mr. Dirp!

Anything with Mr. Garison is always interesting, but I do think this may have been a step down from the other episodes this season.

The only thing I can definitely say for sure is I hope he's going to be the gay male Mr. Garison that he used to be before the sex change operation. After he came out he was still really funny, but also the level headed voice -the straight man to the rest of the adults being the goofy sidekick types.

Well, there's another episode that will never air in broadcast syndication. Unless they're willing to blur.

On the other hand, Cartman's statement about abortion is sure to ruffle some feathers.

Great "Stand and Deliver" reference in this episode when Cartman teaches the inner city kids. Who knew the Patriots would be cheating all along? I'm actually glad Mr. Garrison is back once again after being Ms. Garrison for over three seasons. The question is, what will he think of next? I wonder if Disney is going to make a comment about the use of a phoney imatation of Mickey Mouse. This was a good episode.

Okay, um..alright here goes. Uh..wow that was...um...really something. I really can't like express it. I mean, it was funny but I mean...just...wow. Alright, this was probably the first time that I have absolutely no real reaction to a south park episode. Sure I laughed at quite a few parts (Mickey Mouse,LOL) but most of the episode I just sat there gazing at the TV with my mouth open just trying to figure out how far Matt and Trey were going to go with this episode

When it started with Mrs...I mean Mr... I mean...you know, that Garrison dude, crying I was thinking "Oh great, here we go again with another Garrison sex story." and that was the problem. I was absolutely right. It was another Garrison story but I mean, the mouse, the boys' reaction (my brain hurts too,Butters), the women screaming Eeek! It was just...indescribable.

And then there's Cartman or should I say *ahem* Mr. Cartmanez(sp?). The stuff he presented with the cheating was just so weirdly delivered. Even if most of it was true with the Basketball game, the abortion and of course the Patriots cheating (Funny how they lost though). It was just so hard to say my reaction.

So Garrison's a guy, Cartman did not get punished for doing a bad deed and now all of America are going to be on the lookout for disfigured rodents. All I gotta say is...wow.

Best lines for me:
"He said "Let's try not to cheat just this once." You know what happened? THEY LOST!"

"Yeah you're gonna take that Clyde" (cracks whip)

"Oooh my brain hurts"

"Uh my wife has ovarial cancer so she can't have babies"
"Well get her an H-test f***** cause your wife's a dude!"

"How do I reach these keedz?"

And of course the extremely wrong musical number

And yeah, I bet that's what Mickey looks like too when he's with Minnie
