Finally saw it today. I knew from the previews that Cartman was going to become a pundit. Did not know it would go down the Glenn Beck route...
I used to watch Glenn Beck's show. I thought he was good. However, once he went to Fox News (which happened at the beginning of this year), I started to hate him and not watch. He truly went off of the deep end. My dad still watches him and the DirecTV receiver in the living room is auto-tuned to the show when it comes on at 5 (if was auto-tuned like T-Pain, I would glance at it). The views expressed on this and any politically-leaning show (left, right, who cares?) eats into the fear and hate responses in my brain and, recently, make me wish for
Horizons to re-open at Epcot like
Topless Robot wanted. (Scroll down for reason) Very not healthy.
So, when the graphics for the morning announcements came up, and they looked like Beck's Fox program, I busted out a smile on my face.

It felt good to see Cartman go crazy like him. The "Dances With Smurfs" segment was nuts, as was Wendy's response and how it tied all in to the creation of
James Cameron's Avatar. But, it's all good. It's strange that this, the 6th episode, was the first current events episode in this half (second if you count "Dead Celebrities", which is the customary post-break final-take on the events during their 'vacation'), but it was good. As far as current events episodes so far this season, "Dances With Smurfs" is second to "Margaritaville" in being the best.
Other bits:
-When the original Morning Announcements kid was going through his final moments, I kept thinking to myself: "Darkest sketch! Darkest sketch!"
-Casey Miller was a perfect, foul-mouthed take on Casey Kasem. I can see the real man say that on the radio.
-Butters peeing on Wendy's house (and maybe Wendy's dad) was classic Butters.
Can't wait to learn what the finale brings.
