South Park - "Coon 2: Hindsight" - Talkback [10/27]

Awesome/hilarious episode, nice that it's another epic 2-parter next to the 200/201 2-part arc,

The highlights:
Cool that they're doing a second Coon episode, YYEESS, which I loved the first one!!!!!
The Coon gathering the boys as superheroes was sweet.
Stan as Toolshed, Kyle as Mosquito(funny how he talks, hahahaha), Kenny as Mintberry Crunch, Token as Tupperware, Timmy as Iron Maiden(I'm glad he plays another major role), and Bradley as Kite Man(he got some lines) look marvelous.
Cool to see the return of Mysterion, he's awesome:D!!!!!
Great of Liane Cartman to be more strict on him, niiice.
Captain Hindsight being a lousy superhero on not solving problems/saving the day, but pointing them out that should of been done instead was funny.
The Coon putting poor Butters/Professor Chaos in a cage for 6 days was funny.
The Fresh Shrimp seller's voice was hilarious, hahahahaha.
The British Petroleum/BP bashing.
That Tony guy was creepy/funny with his many apologies, hahahaha.
The Coon's sick evil plan on poor Butters/Professor Chaos was funny.
The slow-motion walk paroding A Clockwork Orange with the Coon beating up on Mosquito and Mint Boy was hilarious, hahahahaha:p:D.
The monsters from another dimension are pretty cool with nicely detailed designs.
The nasty pictures were disturbing/funny, hahahaha, poor Butters:ack::p.
The superhero boys kicking out the Coon was great which the Coon deserved it for the terrible things he's done in the first Coon episode, hehehe.
The scene of the dead Willzyx/Tom Cruise on the moon, hahahaha.
I love Cthulhu who's the next awesome villain ever.
The superhero boys going to save the day and the Coon's revenge is gonna be great in part 2.

In Part 2, Mysterion's secret identity might be revealed, I can't wait, my guess could be Clyde or Craig.
 
I couldn't tell the difference between BP and DP - I'm sorry.

I hope Part 2 where the Coon saves the world (without a surprise appearance by Captain Hindsight) airs next week unless it starts with a Terrance and Phillip short.

How can you tell Kenny from South Park portrays Mint?
 
I think he means the preview clips. I assume they just made those for promotion purposes, then figured later on to make another Coon episode/s so they put them into the episode.

The clip in question I believe was right near the end where the Coon is getting ready to go out alone.
 
I can see Mosquito as Kyle and Mintberry Crunch as Kenny.

But Mysterion isn't anybody. That's the entire point of the character. He's a generic South-Park-kid with no distinguishing features like clothes or hair, just the same face all the other kids have. If they ever actually revealed his identity, the joke would be over.
 
Isn't Mint Berry Crunch's hair the wrong shade for Kenny? He could be the kite kid.

Edit: The brown haired kid, what's his name again? I don't watch that much of this show to remember everyone's name
 
I thought this was an average episode. Don't get me wrong, good stuff with the Coon Alarm (and Cartman getting upset they voted him out), Captain Hindsight, and "Sorry". I was just expecting more...but then they ended it with Cthulhu and a "to be continued", which made the somewhat slow pace understandable.

Cthulhu people...CTHULHU!



It would make sense, but it's weird Cartman calls Kyle "Mosquito" and doesn't hurl his usual brand of insults at him. Then again, Cartman was really into the whole "call everyone by their alter ego" thing. Still, Kyle's beaten Cartman up multiple times, and this would be the only instance of Cartman viciously beating on him.

Does anyone have a picture of all the boys and all the costumed identities? I feel like we should be able to do a process of elimination thing.
 
I really liked the commentary of the episode in how we seem to worship those that talk about what was done wrong instead of admiring those who actually do things to help.

Kenny's parents made an appearance in this episode. Can't remember the last time they spoke or had lines.

Seems we have 4 unknowns. I assume Berry Crunch is the kid with blonde air though due to the similar hair style. I also will go with Mysquito being Kyle.
 
Enjoyed the ep. Especially DP breaking the otherworldly dimensional barrier and releasing Cthulhu.

Wanted to weigh in on the secret identities.

Obviously:
Coon= Cartman
Tupperware= Token
Tool Shed= Stan
Iron Maiden= Timmy

The Others:
I think Mosquito is actually Clyde
Human Kite sounds like Kyle
I'm in the camp that says Mysterion is Kenny
and the blonde kid is Mintberry Crunch

No proof except that Human Kite really does sound like Kyle (granted it's Matt or Trey doing the voice so the confusion is bound to happen).
 
Personally I think Kyle is the Kite guy.
Still it's awesome that this is a 2-parter, you just can't end it with the arrival of freaking CTHULHU!(heh 1st Scooby Doo now South Park:anime:)
Plus I wanna see how DP fixes this one- what else could they release
in the process?

This sounds like a solid theory. Nutberry Crunch has to be the blonde kid since Kenny is the other option, and no way Kenny would come up with that. I like the idea of Mosquito being Clyde rather than Kyle. That would make Kyle Human Kite and Kenny Mysterion.

That is, if Matt and Trey even thought about this. Most of these costumes disguise the boys' hair, so it doesn't really matter unless it becomes a plot point next episode.
 
I know this WAY off-topic, but Scooby-Doo did Cthulu? I've caught like two episodes of the new show and enjoyed it, but freaking Cthulu?!

On-topic, man this episode really should have aired back when this was happening (Well the effects of this are still there, but you know). Captain Hindsight was ingenious. Repetitive, but ingenious.
 
I'm betting Clyde is Mysterion. There was a throway scene in the first Coon episode where Mr. Garrison told Clyde to stop sleeping in class. If he was out all night being Mysterion, it would make sense why he was sleepy.

I also think that Mosquito is Kyle, Kite Man is Kenny, and Berry Crunch is Bradley.
 
That would work out all well and good, except Trey Parker and Matt Stone said in commentary they never intended for him to have an identity, and never intended for him to reveal it. It was just going to be a joke on how all the faces look alike.
