While I have been using Verizon for 3+ years, and have been happy with the phone service, i feel their plans lack quite a bit, their B&M store reps AND phone reps are completely incompetent. I feel its time to move on to GSM. I am really stuck between Cingular and TMobile. Type of phone doesnt matter because i already have an unlocked GSM ready to use.

If anyone can give advice on which service is truely better for one reason or another (or overall), please post. Any advice is appreciated!

You need to look at the coverage maps of where you will use the phone - where you live, work, travel and play. Talk to friends, family, co-workers, etc and get their opinions. Only you can make that decision as only you know where and how you will use the phone.

In general terms, Cingular and Verizon have the best US wide coverage areas with T-Mo and Sprint falling in line at the bottom.

As for Customer Service, I have yet to see anyone complain about a CSR being really good. Maybe they are said to be incompetent because they didn't give you what you wanted when you wanted it. Maybe it is a lot of reasons. I am sure every carrier has its share of good and bad. They are only as good as their training and their companies allow them to be. Personally, when I have asked reasonable questions and had a problem, it was always handled in a very competent and professional manner.

And no I do not work for a cell company, nor am I in the CSR business. I just get a bit bothered by people saying others are incompetent without providing the proof.
