Sound booms visible in films

Now, is there a joke I'm missing, but I've been to see Adventureland and Couples Retreat lately and the sound boom/microphone have been creeping into shot.

What the hell is going on, how are they not editing it out?

They are both 1.85:1 films and I know that Couples Retreat is printed full-frame on the film (not sure about Adventureland, can't remember) so it is the projectionist's fault at the cinema. Improper framing - shoddy workmanship on the projectionist. Basically, he should have moved the viewable picture up to where it should have been which masks out the very top of the frame.

Amateurs! Name and shame this cinema!

Can't be as bad as the whole camera being in shot during the 24 film !!!!

I can remember seeing a very poor horror film in the 80's where the microphone was dangling from the ceiling.....

There have been instances in 24 (the show) where cameras have been in shot!
