which phone in ur opinions is better...and the feature i def need is the abiliity to use bluetooth for tethrig with my laptop every now and then.... can i do it with both phones?

the reason for this is i was offered a choice in these 2 phones for a replacement of my E815 phone ur opinions is very apriated

I would go LG. Personally, I hate everythign about samsung. Their earpieces sound like ****, almost like your speaking through a tin can, tend to ech a lot, have the lowest RF(almost as bad as Audiovox) and just arent attractive phones.

You can't just use a blanket statement like that betweentwo companies.

I tried the LG 8300 first. The sound quality was not great on either end. I often had to ask people to repeat themselves again because I couldn't understand what they were saying. It almost seemed like the highs were too high and the lows were too low. People on the other end had a difficult time understanding me too.

I then decided to check out the a930 and I compared both side by side and called someone with each phone. The person I called said the a930 sounded clearer and it was alot easier for me to understand what they were saying. I tried 2 LGs too to make sure it wasn't my particular phone and they had the same result.
I ended up returning the LG and getting the Samsung. I noticed as soon as I got it that the Samsung got better reception. I get a weak signal in my apt. and the LG would drop calls every once in awhile, while the Samsun has yet to drop one.

That's my experience with each phone. Not everyone's ears are the same though so you should check them out for yourself.

Also, back to the OP, I don't think you can connect to your laptop with either phone to transfer data via bluetooth. Verizon crippled that feature on these model phones. You may somehow be able to hack it, but it isn't supported "stock".
