sorry to post but newbie to flashing anything help lg voyager?

so i want an lg voyager and i have no clue how to flash i plan on buying one and doing a full flash to cricket but i'm not the smartist person in the world i read that you need some app's?. is it risky or should i be ok i also read theres no step by step guide. even if i got a lg env 2 would the flash be pretty much the same

if you guys could help me buy giveing me some links i'l read them i don't got alot of time i post from the library and we get 30 minutes online a day sorry for not searching first?
 
Well... Really, you didn't have to "search". There's a sticky on the top of this forum that says "HOW TO: Flash, Program, etc"....

Try checking there.
 
hmm seems all to complicated i don't want to mess up it don't seem like a step by step guide i guess il pick which phone i really do want and go from there just wish i could find a voyager with cricket on ebay or something i might go with moto q actually
 
my thing is i don't got 400 bucks to get started most voyagers i find are 270 - 300. Most moguls i find are the same same with env and env 2. then theres moto q which is pretty cheap and thinking about it now i just pretty much need texting internet and games which the moto and mogul i know can get snes nes sega roms on there with some work. i guess il have to continue to sleep on it those are the 3 phones i want because i want a nice qwerty phone i think i should go moto q and wait for diamond to go down in price then upgrade besides on the cricket network i don't know what feautres will and won't work on those 3 phones
 
If you want to flash the voyager you should look at my tutorial. A good bit of searching would have found it but I'm being nice today. :)

Just be careful. You can brick the voyager easier than most phones while trying to full flash it. Luckily I found a way to fix the most common problem.
 
this thread appears to be old, but just in case anyone is still reading it or looking for advice still....

LOOK AT THE STICKY. I have never even thought about flashing a phone, read the sticky, FOLLOWED IT (very important step here, do not skip this step), and was left with a perfectly working phone.

Well....excpet for the WAP but I assume that I screwed that up somewhere and will be going back and fixing it sometime here soon. (see why it is important to foolow the sticky...?)

I also want to put this point out there in case any others are having problems with LG Download.... I don't know what it is, whether it is the fact that I have that one operating system that blows and everyone hates and can't wait for that one company to mothball (vista in case anyone did not catch that), or what. I messed with LG Download for a good 4 hours trying to get it to work. It kept coming up with "can't change mode to dm" But whenever I went to the phone in uniCDMA it would say "already in dm mode"......

Finally I just decided to get LGNPST and do it that way, the one caviate here is that you MUST use the ONLY LGNPST file that is listed on http://www.humpa.com/vzw/ It should be the "LG-VX9700 Dare LGNPST DLL"

I know I know that is for the dare, not the voyager ya ya ya... Well it worked and was able to change out the prl and do everything else. Well except for NV editing as it is either non existant or really well hidden in LGNPST.

Anyways my phone gets texts, makes calls, has no problem roaming, just gotta fix the internet and all will be good.....

the voyager and voyager titanium are different..... with the right dll's and software both are easy. this is not allowed to be posted here so it will require some searching on your part...

google is your friend
 
I am just disappointed rapiRABman101 never let us know what he ended up getting. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the conclustion...

As for the software to get those flashed... Google will lead you in the right direction.
