Sorry if this is completely stupid.. Razr ringtones

I'm trying to send ringtones to my friend's cricket Razr. When I send them from my phone, they get there fine. (I have the Kyocera Slider Remix also on cricket) But when I try to send them from the computer just by sending an MP3 file to [email protected], she gets an error message. Is there a size limit, or what? The ones that I can send from my phone are like 100-200k (any bigger and it says file too big to be sent) and the ones i was trying to send from my computer were like 300-600 kb, but none of those worked. She was getting an error message File type not Recognized. When I send the exact same file to my phone, it works fine as a ringtone, but it's just too big to send from my phone. This may be better served in the motorolla forum, but I'm asking here first. :)

I could do that if i had to, but i was wondering if there was a way to do it over mms so i don't have to physically have her phone.

I also have a razor v3c with cricket and was wondering how I can hook up my phone to my computer and upload ringtones? Is there a certain software you need on your computer in order to upload the songs?

i hooked up a friend of mines slvr he just got with motorola phone tools and it read the phone but the multimedia studio option wasnt on there so yea is there any other programs to use to put ringtones with the data cable on the cricket phones?

i think you need to chose v3cm as the model to get the multimedia studio option to show in mpt. alternatively you can send through bt from the computer if you have an adapter (~$25)

Maybe i am just durab but is there a software that I have to have on my computer before I can transfer songs from my computer to my phone?

No, I think Cricket is on to people sending ringtones to their phone because I used to be able to do it with my slider remix by sending it to my phone via e-mail, but now when i send it.. it gets to my phone and says the filewasdelete.mp3

Better luck with Bluetooth
