I have a sore on the roof of my mouth that is not healing. I've done checks on several sites and they recommend seeing a doctor if it's not healed in a couple of weeks. So my question -- what kind of doctor? I called my primary care and his office wasn't even sure. My insurance actually prefers you go direct to an in-network specialist rather than seeing your primary first. I'm going to give them (insurance) a call on Monday but I thought I'd see if anyone here knows. My primary's office guess was "ear, nose and throat" but said they'd have to look into it also.
This is one of those things where I kept thinking it would just get better so I was back burnering it in my brain. Now that I realize it's not getting better it's making me nervous.
