sore head every day, family history of brain tumour?

I have had sore heads since i was 15,i am now 23.I was told for years it was my age, then migrains.I went back to the doctors last week, and i am now being reffered to nurology. These sore heads come every day, they can be right at the front, around my eyes,at the back, sometimes it feels like preasure on my head, anywhere.I also feel tired alot, and my balance isnt very good.I also feel sick when i wake up and during the day.But recently,my memory has became terrible. For example my boyfriend will say something to my,and a second later i cannot remember what he said, resulting in him thinking im being rude! Its really starting to worry me now.My grampa(my mums dad),his brothers and sisters have all died from brian tumours. What are the odds of it being something as serious as that?

The fact that you're currently seeing a physician is great news, much more so that a specialist is now involved. Health care these days seems to range by how good your benefits are or how much money one has; with your family history being the way it is you really need to be sure you get routine checkups performed, at the doctors recommendation.

I lived with migraines for a long time when I was a kid until my aunt bought me a bottle of Advil Ibuprofren and asked me if I ever heard of it. (being sarcastic). Long story short - I have learned to control migraines with the following:

1) Keep IB tablets handy at all times. Any sort of tingling or general discomfort, take a dose immediatley.

2) Avoid foods/drinks that trigger migraines. For me it's the iodine in shrimp and a few other types of shell fish - I can always expect to get headaches after eating seafood.

Feeling dizzy, sick in the stomach, pressure behind the eyes and loss of balance are all symptoms of migraines. Keep some IBU liqui-gels around at all times and you will be amazed at how well it works.
