Soo...after 3 days with Vista...went back to XP

Why did you go back? Was it because of gaming, drivers, app. compatability, wireless problems, sound problems, video problems, responsivness, DRM, "greater user account complexity" (where it seems to emulate 'su' in Linux, or, the bringing back of the Power User account), it always phoning home?

Tell everyone why you went back, otherwise we'll just form baseless assumptions.

I havent been happy with it either. I set up 2 machine on my network of 190 pc's and those 2 machines give me more domain/rights issues than any other, including my win2k machines.

ugh i hear you... Been using Vista now for about a month and it is starting to piss me off. Crashes frequently (blue screens and program crashes) and there are plenty of other little 'bugs' that I cant stand, including Microsoft's Intellipoint mouse drivers... WTF!?

Sorry I wasn't clearer..

My system was designed for vista..but came with xp and a vista upgrade. i did the vista compatibility program and decided to get the vista home basic instead of premium. I have about 1gb of ram and a 2.3G processor.

Programs loaded extremely slower than XP, my system was crashing/freezing, and my ATI drivers were wigging out during gaming (I play CS). They wouldn't allow me to play under OpenGL
