I've got Sony Vaio model PCG-3D1M. It's a core 2 duo processor with 4 GB RAM.
I had it for 3 years from new and everything was great. But now it's "thinking" to long before open a page or program. And sometimes stalls, so I need to reboot. There is no other programs running on back ground. I check in Task Manager and it's just staff like vista side bar and messanger. Also CPU usage is 1% and RAM usage 1.32 GB at the moment of "long thinking". So you cant say that system is to busy with some other processes.
What could cause this?
Is this fixable or it is better to get new one?
Oh, there is also noise when it works. Not always but often. Do you know why?
And why such a good computers last you just few years with good care (no dropping or hitting)???
