My Sony Vaio laptop has started freezing up and crashing recently. It's only about a year old and I haven't installed, uninstalled or added/edited any programs in a while. It started about last week and at first it only did it around once or twice a day but it keeps happening more and more so now it happens every couple of hours. I hate to keep shutting it down and starting it up again because that can't be good for it but that's the only way I can get it to turn off. I'm trying not to use it much so it can't freeze up but I need it for school work, any ideas on how to fix this?
If I need to do something that could cause my computer to lose my files I'm not exactly sure how to back them up. If anyone could help with that as well I'd really appreciate it.
