That's what she said.

My friend and I were looking at a Mini DVD+RW that she had recorded on her camcorder. We inserted it into the disk drive on her computer, and it automatically played her daughter's first dance recital. Then we opened the disk drive in Windows Explorer and copied the two folders to her computer. They were titled Video_RS and Video_TS, or something of the like. She never deleted anything, but those two folders were from the same disk. She copied contents from another disk. Those two folders were retitled as well. The contents of the dance recital are deleted on the disk, and what's left on her computer in the folder is
VIDEO_RM.DAT, VIDEO_RM.IFO, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VTS_01_0.IFO, which are blank white page icons with a folded corner, which cannot be opened.
VTS_01_0.BUP, VIDEO_TS.BUP and VIDEO_RM.BUP, which all have the windows media player logo but do not play.
VTS_01_1.VOB with has the red adobe reader logo, but cannot be read.
and the last one is
VTS_01_2.VOB - the icon is a still shot of the dance recital video, but has the adobe reader logo in the bottom right corner. This is really a tease for her because she can see the picture but it cannot be read either.
As you can imagine, this being her oldest daughter's first tap dance recital from five years ago, it was very important. Is there any way to fix this? We tried reformatting the disk and copying the files back, but nothing happened. Is there a program that can burn or open these files?
