I have final cut express and a sony fx1e handycam and I CAN NOT get it to work with fce. I use a 4 to 6 pin i link cable and I have turned off i link conv. and HDV to DV. and I recorded in 1080p hdv and I don't know how to get it to work PLEASE ANSWER FAST! It is for a YT video and I would REEEAAALLLYYY like to edit it now! btw i'll mention u in credits if u want. PLEEEAASSSEEE answer!
Well here are some more details... I have a macbook (black) not pro. I use Final Cut express 4.0 and my camera does have a 1080p setting...(HDV) and when I put it in capture it will not detect the camera I am not sure wether or not it is the cam or FCE. BTW It might be the easy setup thing but I still do not know what codec, PAL, NTSC or whatever to use....
in capture it just has bars and sometimes when I choose a certain codec it says connect a deck or reconnect...I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND OUT HOW TO WORK THIS FOR DAYYSSS OR EVEN WEEKS!
