sony erricson t610 slow performance

how comes some games perform slow on my t610. is it a firmware problem or are all t610 like that. games like mario, xiii, pandora tommorow, run kinda slow compared to a nokia.

anyone know why?
 
get a software upgrade, i was having the same problem and got it done now it is really fast.

and to find stuff like software out press the following key sequence:
> * < < * < *
you get into a menu with software version etc.
 
does anyone know of sonyericson centres around london, uk
would just regular phone shops be able to do it as well?
also do i need recipt for the phone or not
 
1. The series 40/60 platform that Nokia uses is probably the best out there.

2. Try deleting some of your games and/or pics from your phone. I had the same problem with my Samsung E715 because it was extremely low on memory.
 
Definitely look at getting a firmware upgrade. My T610 firmware was R1A, one of the earliest (and the BUGGIEST!) Once I had it upgraded to R6C, EVERYthing worked so much better, even gif animations etc.
 
check out google... i saw some online sites that do it too. As in you have to use a credit card
 
My thoughts exactly - I too had a rather early model with R1A. Horrible speed everywhere. The new revision I got (R6C005) made it act like a different phone totally!

And at least around here, if the warranty is still on, you can get the firmware upgrade for free at a SE shop.
 
If you know someone with a newer firmware you can just buy a "terminator dongle" from ebay and use it to unlock/flash/anything with your ericsson...
 
so this will solve the slowness of the games. i have the same problem, metal slug mobile was really really slow.
 
mine ran games horribly slow, but the stupid joystick on it stopped workin, so the ONLY thing it would do was scroll up, so my dad gave me a Nokia that I set up, and I had pacman on the T610, ran DECENT, i put it on the nokia and it runs insane fast
 
The phone is all around slow. I noticed it ran like crap after the digits ticked over to 2005.
 
you have to flash your t610 with a new firmware version. you will get much more java performance than old one.
