Sony Ericsson w760a - no net. coverage

Phone was working fine. I bought a new phone that allowed me to text with a full key board. Six months or so now I get the phone out of storage so it can be a backup phone for my daughter. Everything appears to be fine except 'no net. coverage'. I have done the Master Reset. I went online too and did the Update Service via the computer USB connection. I have used 3 different, working SIM cards in the phone. So a SIM card that is working fine in a samsung 3G phone is put in the w760a and each time I get the 'no net. coverage'.
