hey everybody

i recently (today) bought a sony ericsson w580i, SE's first ever slide phone (so im told).

i uploaded a couple of mp3's to play, and the quality is superb

however, i cant set my songs to be my ringtone

how do i do that?

or if i cant, what format do i convert my songs to be able to be used at ringtunes?

The W580i is not the first slider from SE.

I'm guessing your phone is branded from a service provider. Use DRM or flash using Wotanserver.
 
I had a similar problem when I first loaded songs to my phone. Half of them wouldn't play, but once I changed the format to mp3 it worked.

Kinda hit and miss on this phone for me.
 
By default the W580i limits the ringtone to 600kb and 30 seconds, but there are modifications that can fix this.
