Sony Ericsson W580i Side Lights

Hello, I have a question regarding the lights on each side of the Sony Ericsson W580i...
Is there anyway to change what color they are by default, like when just browsing the phone etc.? They always seem to be purple or yellow. I have the light effects set to ice, but that just seems to be for incoming calls I guess.

Make sure your bluetooth is off to save battery life. You can go into Settings and go into sounds and alerts to change the lighting effects.
 
Change the theme. Some themes are specifically designed for the w580, so they incorporate the sidelight colors. Most likely though, you have the FW with the sidelight bug.
 
Make sure your bluetooth is off, and if you prefer, your brightness. I keep my brightness at 80%, and use bluetooth when needed. And, usually when you first recieve the phone, your suppose to drain the hell out of it.(ex. Letting it play a song over and over) than charge it right after.
 
Humm.. I was wondering that too. If you change the theme, it changes, but I followed into settings, and there wasnt any sounds and alerts? My friend changed hers without changing the setting, but I didn't have the phone then, so no need to ask! :flamemad:
 
I ahve also notice horrible battery life. I was wondering if you can just turn off the lights. possible? Also blutooth off has not made any real difference to me.
 
yea i noticed too, for normal activities it has purple or yellow. But when phone rings it shows the selected themes ;D
