Hey everyone, My father has a Sony Ericsson model T610 and it has recently been acting funky. Well this last weekend it went bizerk, basically different functions of it are acting weird and he can cut it on and do things, call, ect. This isnt a case of not paying a bill, or anything. It is a active phone with a good account, with a up to date payment history and the phone is acting up. I know there are ways to flash them, unlock them or what ever, I am just unfamliar with it. Now I would love to fix this phone so he doesnt have to buy another. I understand there is software that can be downloaded, ect.

I would very much appreciate if someone could shed some light on my phone situation and can help me fix it.

I thank anyone and everyone that gives me assistance in advance.

I really appreciate it,

Jimmy

The phone itself isnt that old, probably not even a year old. As for service, I think he has tmobile. Please tell me there is something I can do for it?

Well the most likely it has a 1 year limited warranty, which means if it is a technical problem then you would be able to talk to T-Mobile Customer Service and get it replaced. If it is physical damage then the only thing that would cover it would be phone insurance which he needs to be paying monthly for. Do you know if he has insurance on the phone or not?

I am not sure. I will check with him. As for physical damage, I dont think so. It hasnt been dropped, wet or anything. It definatly is a problem with the software or whatever it is called in the phone, because it was working fine, and then it started acting freaky, and then basically really wouldnt do anything.I dont think he could really even access the controls after it started messing up. As for the 1 year warranty, I will check , but lets just say for instance, it is not in warranty, and I want to try to fix it my self. What options are there for me, with software here on the internet, the cables I read about, ect.

hey thanks for giving me some help!

thanks,
Jimmy

Depending on the phone and cellular service they should have software updates that you should be able to do at a local direct store. I don't know if it will fix the problem or not but it might. If you take the phone to a direct service store you would be able to ask a technician about it, and if it would help or not.

there is nothing I can do from here. I have read about software and stuff. I would like to try it if it is possible.

thanks,
Jimmy
