Sony Ericson W600i, LG F9200, or Siemens SK65?

As of now I have the razr. i want a new phone, one that everyone doesnt already have. It's annoying, I see razrs all over the place.

So far, these 3 phones appeal to me the most. i would highly enjoy a camera in my phone, but if it doesnt have one, how much would it be to buy a cheap one?

A keyboard would also be helpful in the phone, but i dont NEED one, if i dont have one I'll be fine.

I do enjoy being able to make my own ringtones out of MP3s.

The W600i plays MP3's, where the other two dont.
The W600i and the F9200 have a camera, where the other one doesnt.
the F9200 and the SK65 have a keyboard, where the other one doesnt.

After all this i hope you can see what I'm looking for in a phone...so which one do you think I should get?

Also, I'm worried the LG F9200 is going to be too big, i dont want a huge phone...is it?

Well, I do like the W600i, but now i have it down to two other phones. The W600i, or the Samsung D807?

Also, does the D807 come with the microSD card, or is it sold sepertly?
 
Well, now that the D807 is in the equation I would choose it instead for some simple reasons:
- the D807 is newer, and does not have any major problems yet (whereas the Cingular W600i has had the white screen of death)
- the D807 has expandable memory
- the D807 has an easier to use form factory, and looks better, and is much thinner then the W600 (the W600 is almost and inch thick)

There are some minor issues with the D807 though, mainly that the earpiece is quite quiet, whereas the W600 is good and loud. The W600 also is known for its excellent reception
 
Does the D807 come with the microSD card? I'm going to buy the phone on ebay, do they include it? and, if not, do i just buy the microSD card from anywhere and it can be from any size up to 1 gig?

Also, my 2 year contract with cingular is up in a year and a half. right now i have the razr V#. i have insurence. If i buy, say the W600i off of Ebay, and it breaks, would cingular return it and send me a new phone, or would they not do anything with it and i couldnt get anytihng back because i bought it off of ebay?

and do all w600i's get the white screen of death? or only a few. I'm worried about this because I don't know if cingular will return it or not since I will end up not buying from cingular, but buying from ebay. Will they?
 
Nope, Cingular will not replace your phone if you buy it off ebay. And its mostly on Cingular W600's that WSOD, and only a few at that. Besides, I think there is actually a solution to the problem now.
 
I don't want to buy the phone off ebay for 200 dollars, and then have it break and cant return it..so what is this solution your talking about?

I don't think i could do firmware..i dont even know what it is.

Probably the 256 mb.
 
Well then your going to have to sign a 2 year contract with Cingular and then get the w600i or d807 or whichever...

The 256MB costs about $20-$25
 
The solution for WSOD on the W600 is to upgrade the firmware, and WSOD generally only occurs because of certain actions (don't know what exactly, check out the SE forums for that), so I wouldn't be too afraid of it.
 
I'm already on a two year plan with my RAZR, but I want to buy a new phone, i dont like the razr.

And how would I get this new firmware? I dont know how to get SEUS or how to use it or whatever. Also, can you find out if it has the latest firmware and if its cingular branded on it just from the ebay site?

Alright, unless you buy the phone from Cingular or you order it online from a store that offers a warrenty, if the phone breaks you are SOL.

So, you can go to a Cingular store and pay the full retail price for the phone you want (Since you're in the middle of a contract) which for the D807 I believe is 400 (plus the extended warrenty) or arround 400 or 500 for the w600i (plus if they charge extra for the warrenty, which I believe they do).

Or you can go to an online store such as plemix.com (good site). Buy the phone there, and pay the extra 40 or 50 for an extended warrenty that will cover it if broken.
 
The w600i is currently unavailable on that site.

And check that ebay sitei sent you, at the bottom it has a warrenty thing i think.

And will the W550 WSOD? If I do get a w600i will i forsure be able to fix the WSOD?
 
Not for sure...but very very likely you will be able to. I think that solutions have been found to WSOD...if you even get it. I don't think you want to get the W550 because it lacks GSM 850, which is a must in North America.
