Sony claims Xbox 360 requires HD DVD, etc., thus costs $700

*edit* and the analogy isn't that bad. albeit a bit overboard, but it's along the same lines. they're saying you have to buy things separately that you don't have to (i.e. the wireless controller and hd)
 
Wrong. 360 requires component cables, thus costing....oh wait, it comes with that. It also requires a scaler from 720 to 1080 because a lot of tvs don't do 720. That costs...oh wait, it has that.....

Ps3 has neither.
 
I just don't see how anyone can get worked up about this.

If Microsoft had to put something together to show why there system is better, I'm sure they'd toss in a few questionable things. Perhaps Sony took a few too many liberties doing this, but it's not like you could expect one company to say it's possible to get a "better" console for cheaper.
 
It's not like I even like Sony or have any intention of buying a PS3 in the near future

The weird thing is, I still maintain my 360 is my favorite console so far.. but since I've opened my Wii... I haven't even bothered to hook up my 360
 
truth be told, i rebought a ps2 to play guitar hero and ended up picking ff12 up as well...the only reason i turned my 360 on was to watch the new halo teaser. other than that, i havent played it in at least 2 weeks
 
Why are you 360 fags getting so ass hurt? Its not like Sony is saying "You suck because you bought a 360." Its a simple marketing ploy to make their system look more desirable. We see politicians do more with less.
 
I honestly thought about that too. I never played guitar hero or the second one... but it intrigued me.

Unfortunately, buying a wii has kind of put me over my budget for entertainment.
