I'm going on holiday to New Zealand. I have 500 dollars saved up and i'm thinking of buying the Sony TX5 (top range underwater/shockproof/frost proof camera). I think it would be marvelous to have a brilliant camera like that to catch the full experience of the trip. However, my parents believe the camera is to pricy, even with the duty free, and that i should have some spending money instead. They said it was up to me to choose though. Ideas?
I'm not allowed to buy electronics off the internet, as my parent's consider it to risky, and it wouldn't arrive in time as i need it by Monday
