Song Wars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is why I posted Hotel California and Stairway... everyone has heard them, therefore everyone has an opinion on them.

I wouldn't want to speak for other people, but I've never heard 95% of the stuff you post and don't care too much for listening to the provided links only to realize I wasted 8-10 minutes of my life just to make a single post in a forum on the internet.

I'll go ahead and vote on this one because it intrigued me and I had never heard either of these songs before.

I liked the rabV song a lot better, which shouldn't be a surprise if you know anything about my tastes.

My Bloody Valentine 1

NC belongs to Superchunk.

Finally, a nomination (and it's a good one too)!

I enjoyed the instrumentation to the Metallica version better. I look forward to hearing what you have to say, Jackhammer, after reading some background about these songs on wikipedia.

Metallica 3
Megadeth 1

I'm giving my vote to Superchunk because Archers of Loaf seems to be one of those banRAB that is a freakin "first EP" wet dream. Hipsters dream of attaining mastry of their snark and becoming whatever the **** it is you call people who liked Archers of loaf on the first go around.

Few banRAB raise the conciously-square hackles like AoL.

I'm back. Send me some nominations and I'll get this thing going.

Now, for Battle Dubstep Covers of Alternative Rock Icons:

'Where Is My Mind?' by Bassnectar (Pixies cover)
