Something wrong with my breathing?

Just yesterday i have experience a weird change in my breathing. I believe it was caused when i was drinking water and suddenly choked(lol i choked on water) then followed by several coughs. Moments later, i have experienced a new change of breathing i believe. It's like not the same breathing i've had. It's actually like breathing in and out some air that is not normal or something. It's a strange feeling i would say. Even if i try to hold my breath, i can still feel it inside my body or my nose or something. I am not sure how to treat it or what to do now. I thought it was a temporary feeling and would go away the next morning but like a hour later when i woke up the next day(which is today) i started to feel it come and go. Meaning that it does come and go randomly like on and off but i can really feel it right when i am about to fall asleep.

Could someone please help me? I am really scared for my health now, as i do not know if this is a change in adulthood or is this something i should see a doctor right away. If you need more information leading up to this, i can provide more. I would like much help from you guys if you can :)

I'm not sure if the water i drank have caused something in my airway or something to function differently or something. But as of now, im starting to feel it constantly and more. I can also feel the strange and not normal feeling when eating too..

Hi there,

Choking on water, or the type of water you drink, will not have an effect on the way you breathe. It can put you under temporary stress right after it occurs, with a sore throat perhaps from coughing, but this will not change your breathing.

It's difficult to say what may be causing what you describe as a difference in your breathing. As it's only been one day since you choked on the water, I wouldn't expect that this will last very long. The less you focus on it, the better it will be, but if you are finding yourself too concerned there is nothing wrong with popping in to see a doctor to get their opinion.

Best of luck,
Bright
