Summer ball has started and we have our second game today against a team who has a lot of the kids from the same high school as some of the kids on my team (including me) and we will probably never hear the end of it if we lose. We lost our first game 3-2. We played good defense and our pitcher pitched a great game but we only had 3 hits. A single in the first where we left a runner stranded. A single in the third where the same thing happened. And the double I had to bring in to runs in the bottom of the 7th. A lot of the kids have played together and a few kids are new on the team but have played with eachother for a short time. We're a good team and I know we can win, but we can't sleep on the field today because it won't be an easy exhibition. I want something motivational to say to our team before the game today to get them pumped and hopefully off their asses so they play a great game. I'm the oldest on the team and i've been on the team the longest. Any ideas? We had a winning
season last year and a horrible season the year before, if that helps.

haha i remember when i played highschool baseball. I miss it like crazy. Just go along the lines that they only have one chance and one oppurtunity to play the game. Play the game to their best of their ability because they can get injured and be done forever. If a person isnt giving 100% they can leave, u have a wat, 2 hour game? Tell them to suck it up and give everything single ounce of baseball in them for that time, then a win would be guarenteed

Just say what you said in your question's explanation..

"We're a good team and I know we can win, but we can't sleep on the field today because it won't be an easy exhibition"
