to fix it myself.? MANUAL TRANS. 5 SPEED. SOUNDS LIKE THE ENGINE REVS BY ITSELF UP AND DOWN AND IT ONLY HAPPENS A FEW MINUTES AFTER I DRIVE THE CAR. OTHERWISE WHEN I FIRST TURN IT ON IT REALLY DOESN'T DO IT. AT TIMES IT ALSO SOUNDS LIKE IT IS REVING BY ITSELF WHEN I AM NOT ORESSING THE GAS PEDAL. OR IT SOUNDS LIKE THE ENGINE IS ACCELERATED IF THAT MAKES SENSE.

the first thing that comes to mind is the fuel air mixture is not right. If its fuel injected it could be the mass air flow sensor is giving the wrong readings or an o2 sensor on the exhaust is doing the same thing. It could be trying to vapor lock or the choke could be sticking (i can't remember if 93's still had a choke)Anyway that would be a good place to start

In addition the the things already mentioned look for a rubber vacuum hose that is leaking. The way to find the hole in the hose is to take it off carefully and wind it around your finger. That way you can see any splits or holes. However if it acting like you say it will probably be a big leak that you can find by just looking.
