Something found its way into my vein and going towards my inner body, could it be life threatening?

While I was doing dishes, I felt a pinch in my finger and it wasnt a big deal. But its been 5 hours now I could see my veins downstream showing some red traces and I am feeling pinch in that downstream area towards my inner body.

I am speculating that some thin piece of something got into my vein and is traveling towards my heart. Is it possible ?

What do you suggest ? Its midnight. I dont have insurance; would not go to ER unless I really need to.
