someone who knows something about cars?

I'm 16 and am looking for my first car to buy. I need to get a used one that is cheap. I want to know what the best kind of car is out there that i might find used, with good gas mileage, dependable etc. I'd still like to get a nice looking one, I wouldn't even mind having a truck. A jeep wrangler fits my personality but the insurance is too high...to bad because that's my dream car. For the time being i'll settle for something else and anyone with good suggestions would be my hero.
