Someone turned an old book in to art. He/she drew his own interpretation of each page

in the book. Who was it? For my art class we had to take an old book and create our own interpretation of each page, or a few words on the page, in the book. My teacher used an example of a book that is actually published. The book was all drawings I think. I'm trying to find that book again but I've lost contact with my teacher, since this was a few years ago, but I can't find it. Help?
