I was dropping my girlfriend at home and as I was going to take the garbage out of the car I spilt some icecream so since it is a residential zone and I was parked in ffront of her house I put on my flashers and opened my trunk to get some cloths to clean up the mess.Well after I got it all cleaned up I then grabbed the garbage and placed it next to a garbage can since the garbage was closed because there's a struck and there are no garbage men.soon after that someone pulls up next to my car and a neighbour comes up 2 me and asks me kindly if I could dump of somewhere else because of the smell and so on well I told him that I understand and asked my girlfriend to bring the garbage in instead. well the other guy in his car starts to snap photos my license plate and when I asked him what he was doing he then drove away.Well my question is is it possible that he calls the police and tell them that I was dumping even though I picked it up and brought it inside I just don't want to get a letter in the mail stating that I need to go to court and waste my time.I don't think I did anything wrong and it's nor like I dumped garbage because by girlfriend took it inside. Should I be worried?

Some paranoid or the classic "not-minding-his-own-business" kind of neighbor (I hate them both).

Don't worry, nothing will be done since you took care of the offending garbage. Besides Police have more important things to do.

it could be a problem for you as that guy will report it even though u did the right thing afterwards.
Its a matter of doing the wrong thing in the first place which is against the law. Not that u took the garbage away once u were questioned and approached about it.
I would not worry about it but just expect some response from whatever authority and deal with it then.
