I have a pair of some old school jl 15'' subs (the one with jl written in the middle) but i'm not sure which ones they are and I want to get an amp for them but I don't know the ratings on the subs to know what kind of amp to get. plus when I go to the web site I can't find them on the discontinued list. Plus I want to know if jl subs are made out of good strong material.

if there the JL black subs i would assume they are like no more then 500 watts and yes JL makes a beast of subs well built ive owned a few JL subs 1 being JLw1v8 i belive 300watts 150 rms and was running a rockford fosgate 550.2 ch amp bridged and was hurting them subs they took a hell of a beatin voice coils were smoking and all sold them to a friend a they still bump to this day so what im trying to say as lon g as you take care of your subs you will get a long life out of them ,
