Do you know what's ****ed up about this though? I recently tried an album by a band called LYMPHATIC PHLEGM which is a right old racket and I liked it!
I do not understand my own tastes sometimes, AND this is a RATM thread lol.
Seltzer-I'm going to give NILE another chance, what album is the best? the one I got hold of was about 1999-can't remeraber the name but the production was terrible, couple that with a dodgy Youtube vid I watched and that was that!

And theres no loss. This technically isn't even an argument. Your only counterpoints are "well RATM sucks" and I'm simply trying to explain why some people have a different opinion from yours.
 
I like some early RATM, but I found them way too samey after a couple of albums. I've got Evil Empire, S/T and Battle of Los Angeles. I don't like the last one much at all (apart from a couple of songs). And everytime I hear an Audioslave song start up, I'm always waiting for Zachs voice to come in with an Awwwwwww Come On!

And he uses really cheap pedals. All the stuff about him using advanced equipment and studio tricks is completely fabricated. Watch him live, its a few little piss ant stomp boxes.

And what he can do with just a few little piss ant stomp boxes is pretty remarkable. Like you said, he's a Hip Hop guitarist, and really the only guy deserving of such a title.
 
Sorta, but it's produced some good counter arguments so it would be kinda pointless to close it now. Tough call.... Do you want me to ban his ass, just for shits and giggles?*shrug*
 
I for one do not like RATM due to the shameless guitar wank, I like boring riRAB and I will issue no apology. I am not saying that everyone should like boring three chord riRAB like I do but this is my reason why I don't like RATM.

I would buy all of their albums and listen to them religiously if they could just make Chris Cornell go away
 
He sounded like Chris Rock...except he was acutally funny. Particularly during is faux screams of rage. Also, don't care too much for Morello's chops. Way to cutesy for a metal band. Both of these guys in tandem make RATM dated.
