someone please explain the 5 levels of X:Men to me...

It's according to power levels...here are a few I know, with their class level.

Class 1: Toad
Class 2: Gambit, Jubilee
Class 3: Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm
Class 4: Magneto, Xavier
Class 5: Jean Grey, Elixir, Iceman

just because they're on the same level doesnt mean they have the same amount of power. phoenix is eleventybillion times more powerful than iceman (okay, maybe not that much), but iceman's power far surpasses the average mutant.

and so what's magnetos real name? i'm gonna say the movie is wrong, i thought his name was magnus or something, not erich lanscherr (or whatever the jew spelling of lansher is)

He can manipulate energy. That would make him pretty fucking powerful.

"Since cold is the absence of heat, Iceman cannot truly 'generate' cold, per se. He can absorb the heat from the environment around him, effectively dropping temperatures at a rapid rate. He can also manipulate atmospheric moisture to create objects out of ice, such as projectiles and armor."

hes still a kid in the movies. when he gets older and can control he powers better, he comes almost invincible. he gets armor made of ice and whenever he gets hit hard enough he shatters, but just reforms himself. its almost impossible to kill him in that form.

another wiki -

Writers have implied that Iceman's lack of personal initiative has prevented him from discovering the deeper facets of his abilities and has led him instead to focus only on what might be the easiest manifestation of his abilities, the creation of ice.

Actually storm might be a class 5. She is a class 4 at minimum.

In the comic, alternate timeline storm became a class 5 mutant.

Storm has the power to manipulate the weather in the whole universe at once.
