Someone just broke into my fucking apartment

I left my apartment at 3:00 p.m. EST, and shut and locked my door as I was leaving. I double checked the lock, and made sure it was locked. I can't lock the deadbolt unless I'm inside the apartment, because my landlady lost the key to it. I went to work, and came home a few hours later. I arrived home at 7:20 p.m. EST, and when I pulled in what did I find? My front door standing wide open.

I absolutely did NOT feel safe entering the apartment at that time, so I walked around the corner to Wendy's, and use a payphone there to call the police. The police arrived in about 5 minutes ( very nice response time compared to the police department where I used to live) with a canine unit. He came upstairs, searched around, and when he found nobody, he put his dog back in the car, and walked back up here with me to ask me if anything was gone.

Some things were out of place, and some stuff was knocked over. At first it looked like nothing was missing.

Until I walked over to my desk and opened the drawer where I was keeping my money until I had the time to open a checking account at a local bank (since my old bank is way too far away for me to make any deposits right now).

The drawer was empty.

Whoever broke in must have been specifically looking for cash. I'm now out $200, but it could have been much worse. I had a gut feeling to carry most of my money with me today. Had all the money I've been saving up been in that drawer, I'd be $800 poorer right now.

I almost wonder if it was the same person who fucked with my car. I don't know. I haven't really done anything to make any enemies around here.

IF I CATCH THIS MOTHER FUCKER HE'S FUCKING DEAD!!!  :mfinger: :mfinger:

Get an alarm system.

Or just stay home for the rest of your life, nail all your doors and barricate your windows, wait by your bed in the fetal position with a baseball bat and a hunting knife and wait for the fucker to break in again.

Yes, the mace will work wonders. He shoots you and you fall to the ground desperately searching the desk for that can. Always keep the shotgun loaded. The only unsafe gun is one that is not loaded, if you learn gun saftey and don't be a fucking dumbass about them(Be sure to keep it so it doesn't get knocked over and don't point it at someone unless you're going to shoot them. We've got one in every room. The only thing that could happen is the shells could go off from heat or someone left it without one in the chamber. Those security camers would be a good idea though since you can't be there all the time and they seem to know your schedule and where you keep the cash. Chances are it's someone who knows you well, maybe a friend.

Did you know mace is illegal in the UK? That's how i got arrested at a airport cos it was a present from my dad that he bought in the US! Smooth?! Anyways,
It sucks to be robbed, I've been robbed three times.. It sucks hard ass, the first was the worst cos we had quite expensive stuff in the house, and they took alot of stuff. Sorry to hear it, I'm glad they only got hold of 200.

When I got home a few minutes ago, there was an envelope with $200 in it stuck in my screen door. WHAT THE FUCK!? Either the thief grew a conscience, or one of my friends felt sorry for me (I hope not, I HATE taking other people's money).
