Someone is using my email in a chat room?

A stranger sent me explicit photos of himself today and when I replied to their message he claimed that they were photos I requested earlier that afternoon and that he will delete me from his "friends list". I have never been on anything with a friends list before except facebook and my yahoo email isn't even on that account.

Could someone be using my email address in a chat room? What can I do to fix this? Should I close my email account?
 
Scary. I would sounds like you have been hacked maybe contact yahoo customer care. bu trbefore you cancel account make sur you email your self important info.
