Someone help me with these physics problems?

1. A 650kg Elevator starts upward at rest. After 3 seconds of constant acceleration it reaches a speed of 1.75m/s.

a. Find the average power used by the elevator motor during this period.
(Hint: find the acceleration, average velocity and force)

b. What is used by the motor to keep it moving at a constant velocity of 1.75m/s.

Thanks to anyone that helps out.
 
Find kinetic energy after the 3 seconds ( 1/2 m v^2). Divide this by the time of 3 to get the average power.

Electricity to provide a force which balances the force of gravity of 650 * 9.81 N
