...unit need to be replaced? Or can just the glass or window panes be replaced?
How much does this typically cost to hire someone to repair it?

Technically you're supposed to replace the entire window if you have double pane glass. There is gas in there that prevents condensation and the unit is sealed, like a car headlamp. But yeah, it can be replaced in the traditional way if you don't have the money. Just glaze in a pane and call it good. You aren't gonna get double pane on that window again unless you replace the whole thing. Don't call anyone, just do it yourself. If you can't stand the affect it has on the rest of the window, order a new double pane and install it.

If your home is new enough, and you have a good relationship with the sales lot, you can probably get a new window from them, otherwise, you pretty much stuck buying a window. Dual pane windows are sealed units. glass companies don't have the ability to remake the sealed unit unfortunately If it happens to be the part of the window that moves, you can just replace that piece without having to t3ar the window out of the wall, if you can find the same exact window that is

Here's to your independence,

Noah.
