Hi everyone, I am 16 years old, I weigh about 205 pounds and I'm 5'8. I'm trying to loose some weight but whenever I try to reduce eating, or even eat healthy I feel like I'm never full...I guess you can say I'm Addicted to junk. Can someone tell me how to control my food cravings and what to do to loose weight, I have a treadmill In my room.

Hi . . . for appetite control, I suggest this before a meal. Drink a full eight ounces of water. When eating, take small bites and chew slowly. This will give your "full sensor" in your stomach time to react to what is down there, thus making you feel fuller.

I advocate walking outdoors (whenever possible) as the best exercise. Before I developed sciatica and osteoarthritis, I used to love to walk as far as ten miles a day. I would choose scenic areas (places with a lot of nature like park ways or neat old architecture in town) that had some up hills and down hills to them.

Walking not only works the body but refreshes the mind.

Best of luck!

to beefdawg. For weight loss I found that replacing a new habit for the old habit is very beneficial. After I eat and I'm still hungry I focus on something other than food. Call a friend and chat, but not about food. Take a walk if you can. If it's late at night and dark outside, stay indoors and read something, but not about food. Do yoga breathing or even fake yoga breathing. Put on music and dance. Go get cans of vegetables and use them as weights and exercise your arm muscles. Select what you are going to wear to work or school the next day. And if it's bedtime , for heaven's sake don't make the day any longer than it is. GO TO BED.
