I fucking hate my english teacher with passion.
She's a racist, misleading educator with absolutely no intention to care for students' abilities and opinions and whatnot..
I hate the fact that some teachers just dont have that passion of teaching students; they just want to get their salary and pursue their perfect life.
 
I can agree with you.

In my 12 years of "education" I had about 1 teacher out of about 30 who actually gave a shit.

I know this because he phoned my house at 8 on the first day of summer holidays, told me to get my ass to school and finish something or I'd fail the grade.
 
Yeah. Because twenty grand a year is sooooo fucking inspiring.

Come on you guys, think about it.

Low wages, shitty health plan. worse retirement plan, and dealing with hundreds of kids that dont give a fuck about you.

That would probably be pretty damn disenheartening.

Try caring about your teacher.

Many teachers start as caring people, years of shitty work, shitty school higher ups, fucked up kids and parents, tend to wear someone down. If you show some real interest maybe the teacher will lighten up, towards you anyways.
 
LOL! yes. students like myself should care more too on teachers... BUT the school being an educational institution should focus on education only.. with less regards to fraternity between teachers and students... zzz... WTF am i saying?!. I guess what i'm trying to say is that we get along with each other well
 
Some teachers are just fucked up after years of bullshit. I remember my 11th grade teacher, we hated eachother's guts, she gave me an 85 on 100 quality work. I'm not just saying that, I spent all week on a single essay and she gave me an 85. The sad part is that I did everything right, she critiqued me on my writing style. Not vocabulary, grammar, or anything else. What a douche.

Like my bio teacher, he called my friend gay like 5 times in class, and he isnt.
AND BESIDES THAT HE WANTS US TO TYPE AND PRINT OUT ALL OF OUR FRIGGEN NOTES AND PRINT THEM OUT SO WE CAN "STUDY THEM" AND HE GRADES US ON THEM!!! HE LOOKS AT THEM FOR LIKE 1 MIN WHEN WE SPEND LIKE ALMOST 2 FUCKING HOURS ON THEM!!! AND ITS GAY BECAUSE WE CAN READ OUR OWN NOTES AND HES LIKE "IF YOU DONT TYPE THEM YOULL FAIL.

And yet another sterling example of the failure of our educational system.

Like, I know school is like all hard and stuff. But like, it's like important to your like life and stuff like later. Because like, if you insist on like saying like in every sentence, like when I see you I'll be like all "I need a Whopper with cheese combo meal, medium, to go, with an apple pie." And you'll be all "Like ok sir, that'll be like $6.58"

Some teachers only care about the students if the students care about the class. Why would a teacher, making shitty wages in the first place, want to try to help a bunch of fuck ups who don't want to be helped anyway?
 
It's true that teachers generally get paid a lot less than what they should. It's also true that, in many cases, the teacher ends up being more of a babysitter/mediator than someone who can spend the time to actually educate and enlighten. Class sizes are oftimes larger than optimum. That can wear anyone out.

I'd love to have a class full of dedicated students, striving to learn and understand the concept of the class, asking pertinent questions, accepting responsibility for assignments, remaining courteous, brave, courageous and true.

As a student, I'd love to have a subject matter expert leading the course. Someone who is confident in their abilities and able to accept constructive feedback. It would be great if the teacher could go beyond the prescribed curriculum, and allow for differing opinions, or alternate ways of completing homework assignments.

Do they still have things like Parent Teacher Associations at the high school level? Seems like that's one way to become involved in how schools are run, including class size ratio and curriculum. We vote here on School District positions. That's another way to influence the quality of education.
 
As an adult, I'd love it if these kids knew how fucking lucky they are to have an accesable education. Nigeria, Iran, South Africa, Russia, Sudan, Korea, Vietnam......those kids would kill to have any teacher, even one who is an asshole. The youth of america is disrespectful and ungrateful. That makes me sad.
 
Our school has a wonderful system! After the end of the school year, they look at everybody's grades, teacher reports, number of unexplained absences etc. and kick out the failures! It's brilliant, everybody tries hard, so we've only got (in my opinion) three teachers who really do not give a crap. At the moment, I reckon there are only a handful of people in my year who will be kicked out at the end of this year.
