1. Is it likely that USA will replace the m1 abrams in the near future?

2. Why didn't USA help afghanistan in the war with russia the same they did with vietnam?

3. Does standing up, crouching or lying down affect your accuracy when shooting?

4. Is life harder as a Nato/us troop in afghanistan or iraq? why?

1: No, like the B52 bomber, it will simply be adapted to its changing battlefield role.
2:It would have obviously escalated to a nuclear exchange
3:Yes and no, depends on the weapon and recoil.
4:The enemy has a smaller presence in Afghan versus Iraq where you have both alqaeda and iraqi army (former)

1, Unlikely it is relatively new
2, Because Russia was more invading then helping and plus the Cold War was still going so they hated each other
3, It would effect how you hold the gun so yes
4, Probably Afghanistan the Taliban are becoming far more active meaning more bombings and shootings

1. No, it will adapt like everything else (CITE: Humvee)
2. We did help with the war against Russia by providing the Mujahideen with weapons to kill Russians. We did it discreetly due to the cold war, but we poured millions and millions of dollars into procuring weapons for the Afghan Mujahideen.
3. What was stated above, yes and no, depends on the weapon
4. They're both the same. You're away from your family and home country, nothing is easy about helping out people halfway across the world.
