some points about gun control?

I'm doing a persuasive composisition about gun control, and I need some points from both sides of the argument. I'm against gun control, so, ideally I need some points as to why we shouldn't have more gun control, but all points are welcome. Thanks!
 
For: The initially right to bare arms was to allow for militias for the defense of america. People are also able to take up hunting as both hobby and for some as a means for food.

Con: Criminals hae access to guns, illegal guns are everywhere. People who are angry with guns could potentially provide a permenant solution to a temporary arguement.
 
Simple fact: There are a gazillion guns in circulation.

Make guns illegal, there will be a gazillion people calling the police to report their guns have been stolen.

Conclusion: Gun control is impossible.
 
I think anyone with a severe psychotic disorder or criminal offender (depending on the offense) should not have access to a firearm.

I grew up with guns and support the right but I don't think someone who went to jail for shooting someone in 1st degree murder - and somehow got out early should be allowed to buy a gun.
