I've had a guitar for years, but never really wanted to learn to use it, but now I'm suddenly inspired to learn. (Well I've always loved the piano, but never had the opportunity to learn or play one before, so I'm settling with a guitar I guess. T_T) But this guitar I got for a present is a totally hideous turquoise with pink, purple, yellow and green flowers all over it... I am a girl, but never liked flowery things like that. I just cant bring myself to learn to play something so... Anyways, I'm also left handed with the guitar (but i wright with my right hand) I just can't play it the right handed way, too uncomfortable and it's like writing with your opposite hand - extremely harder. It's a right handed guitar so I took off the strings and am going to switch them around so it's a left handed guitar, but I want to paint it first. Just one color like dark blue, red, something. Maybe a small design somewhere. Nothing special because I just want to learn to play it. After that I'll go buy a nice expensive guitar. Anyways, what kind of paint would I need? I've been told painting it will ruin the sound, but the person who told me that usually just says things like that to get you to not do something. Is that true? I wouldn't paint on the neck part or anything like that and it already has paint all over it... Any other suggestions or things I should know first?
