In a lake there grows a flower, for everyday that passes it takes twice as much space as the day before.
After 10 days the flowers cover half the lake.
How many days will it take for it to cover all of the lake?

It should be 11 days, right?
 
Yup you're correct. In 1 day double- double then the previous day so..
half lake in 10 days
half x 2 + 1
so 1 day
